  Wendy M. Cromwell, CFA
  Vice Chair, Partner, Head of Sustainable Investment
  Wellington Management

Wendy is the head of Sustainable Investment, setting the research agenda and strategy for the firm’s sustainable investment practice. As vice chair, she is a senior member of the firm’s Management Team and works with the CEO on strategic initiatives and external affairs of the organization.Wendy serves as chair of the Strategic Relationship Advisory Committee and the Wellington Management Australia Board, vice chair of the Sustainable Investment Governance Committee, and a member of the firm’s Investment Stewardship Committee. She is also a director on the board of the United Nations-supported principles for Responsible Investment, serves on the advisory group of the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, and is a provisional member of the Climate-related Financial Risk Advisory Committee (CFRAC) of the Financial Services Oversight Committee (FSOC). 

Naoko Nemoto
Professor
Waseda Business School

Naoko Nemoto is a professor at Waseda Business School (Graduate School of Business and Finance). Until May 2021, she was a financial economist at the Asian Development Bank Institute. Her research interests include financial markets, financial inclusion, and sustainable development goals. Before that she was a managing director at Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services and an economist at the Bank of Japan.
She has a BA in law from Waseda University, Tokyo, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a PhD in finance from Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo. Currently she is a board member of the Government Pension Investment Fund Japan, and Mizuho Bank. She was a chair of the Carbon Neutrality Working Group at Financial Service Agency in Japan.

  Patrick Peura

  Allianz Global Investors

Patrick manages the global engagement program for Allianz SE’s proprietary portfolio. This includes engaging to support Allianz’s climate ambitions. Allianz has committed its 700billion euro proprietary portfolio to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050 inline with a 1.5° maximum temperature rise. Beyond engaging directly with investee companies, he also directs Allianz’s asset manager engagement program to help align asset managers’ diverse investor stewardship approaches with Allianz’s long-term interests. Additionally, he is co-leading the United Nations-convened Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance engagement activities alongside Jake Barnett at Wespath Institutional Investments. Patrick holds a first-class honours degree in business administration and sustainability, a masters of environmental governance, and an executive MBA. Before joining Allianz in 2018, he worked for Chevron Canada, a fully integrated oil and gas subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, which included roles in finance, accounting, business strategy and fuel supply & trading.

Hiroshi OZEKI is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Nissay Asset Management Corporation since 2020.In 1987, Hiroshi joined Nippon Life Insurance Company after graduation from the University of Tokyo, where he garnered most of his professional career. He accumulated ample experience and professional knowledge through various key positions in leading Investment Management as a Domestic Bond Portfolio Manager and a Head of Global Credit and Alternative Investment. In 2013, he became in charge of the Finance and Investment Planning Department as a General Manager. Promoted in 2014 to Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Board Directors & Executive Officer. In 2018, under his new leadership role at Nippon Life’s overseas operations (based in New York), he served as the Regional CEO (responsible for the Americas and Europe) and Managing Director & Executive Officer.Hiroshi speaks and acts widely in promoting efforts to enhance the group’s initiatives on ESG investments and Green financing, including initiating the first Green Bond issued by the City of Paris and the first underwriting of women bonds by Banco del Estado de Chile (BancoEstado). He has been invited to speak at both international and domestic conferences on climate change, ESG and SDGs, including CFA, ICMA, the RI Asia, the TCFD Summit, and he gave the opening speech at the PRI Digital Conference 2021.Hiroshi Ozeki has 34 years of business experience engaging in Corporate Planning and Asset Management, including Loan Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Corporate Strategy, Capital Procurement, IR, ALM, and Asset allocation of Life Insurance General Accounts.
